Dorothy Fisher ran upstairs, someone was crying! But how? All the children were out of the house and so was the cat! Dorothy gasped as she walked out and onto the balkoney and saw a little baby wrapped in plastic .

“Mama?”said the little baby hopefully, but when she saw Dorothy she just kept on crying. Dorothy unpacked the little thing and ran to the mayor.

“What! You found a little girl wrapped in plastic on your balkoney!” said Hugo, shocked at the thought of anyone doing anything like that to a child. “Here is a note that came with it” said Dorothy, Hugo read the note.

It said the above.

Since Laura had no parents here she was put in the orphanage.

“Wait!”cried the voice of Chelsea Blackberry.

Then suddenly she bent down and gave Laura a hug! “Laura! Is that really you?”exclaimed Chelsea,”I used to babysit her ” she explained “Can I adopt her?”. “We need to see if she will be friends with Connie fist” said Teri.

Just then, Connie came along and imediatly came over to Laura and they started to act like they were best friends.

“As soon as I have the adoption papers you can adopt her”said Teri, “Thank you!” cried Chelsea and gave Teri a big hug.

Then she took of with Laura and Connie for the juice bar.
